Shelly Oberoi of AAP was elected as the Mayor of Delhi

New Delhi: Shelley Oberoi of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been elected as the new mayor of Delhi. A meeting was held in the Town Hall for the election of the new mayor of Delhi today. AAP candidate and first-time councilor Shelley Oberoi defeated BJP candidate Rekha Gupta by 34 votes and was elected as the new mayor of Delhi. BJP councilor and mayoral candidate Rekha Gupta, AAP mayoral candidate Shelley Oberoi and deputy mayor candidate Ali Muhammad Iqbal of North Delhi. Former mayor Raja Iqbal Singh, AAP leader in the house Mukesh Goyal and some other councilors voted in this election. Mayoral elections were held today (Wednesday) on the orders of the Supreme Court after three unsuccessful attempts to hold mayoral elections.

Fearful; Orange warning for 10 districts, 11 cm of rain is possible, advised to be careful of western storm

Bhubaneswar: The effect of Kala Baisakhi will continue in Odisha for the next 4 days. By 9 am on Monday morning, thunderstorm and hailstorm with speed of 40 to 50 km per hour may occur in Kalahandi, Rayagada, Koraput, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Cuttack, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, Angul, Boudh districts. Therefore, orange warning has been issued for the said districts. A yellow warning has been issued due to the possibility of temporary impact on other districts as well. In addition, the public is advised to monitor local weather and take shelter in a safe place during lightning storms. The Regional Meteorological Center has asked the farmers to harvest their crops as there is a risk that the harvestable rabi crops will be affected due to the effects of rain and wind.
