Bhubaneswar: The effect of Kala Baisakhi will continue in Odisha for the next 4 days. By 9 am on Monday morning, thunderstorm and hailstorm with speed of 40 to 50 km per hour may occur in Kalahandi, Rayagada, Koraput, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Cuttack, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, Angul, Boudh districts. Therefore, orange warning has been issued for the said districts. A yellow warning has been issued due to the possibility of temporary impact on other districts as well. In addition, the public is advised to monitor local weather and take shelter in a safe place during lightning storms. The Regional Meteorological Center has asked the farmers to harvest their crops as there is a risk that the harvestable rabi crops will be affected due to the effects of rain and wind.
